33 years of listening first.

Most agencies will tell you what you need before they’ve heard what you do. We’ve never worked that way.

Since July 1993, 305 Spin has been building websites, applications, and digital strategies for businesses of every size — from solo operators to Fortune 500 companies. We’ve watched the internet go from novelty to necessity, from dial-up to AI. Through all of it, the thing that’s never changed is how we start every client relationship: we listen.

We sit down — sometimes literally, sometimes on a call, sometimes in a conference room surrounded by whiteboards — and we hear what’s going on. What’s the bottleneck? Where are leads getting lost? What did the last agency promise that they didn’t deliver? What does success actually look like, not in a pitch deck, but in real business terms?

Then we get to work with you and your team.

THE FOUNDING PROMISE

On Time. On Budget. Spot On.

That was our original slogan when we opened our doors in 1993. It wasn’t marketing language — it was a commitment. In an industry notorious for projects that ran over schedule, over budget, and under-delivered, we decided our reputation would be built on the opposite.

On Time.  On Budget.  Spot On.

Thirty-three years later, that promise still defines how we work. It’s the reason clients like Alligator Records have been with us since the late 1990s. It’s why RainSoft (now Pentair) has relied on us since 2004 and Affinity Cellular has been a partner since 2012. It’s why the Whole Hog Cafe, Backbeat Tours, and Sedalia CVB have trusted us through multiple redesigns, platform migrations, and complete reinventions of their digital presence.

“You and the 305 Spin team have done such a great job for us over the years, through updates and special projects and several complete redesigns… At every step you’ve had elegant, practical and cost-effective solutions; I can’t imagine trusting our web design to anyone else.”

— Bill Patton, President, Backbeat Tours

HOW WE WORK

Problem solvers first. Technology second.

We’ve never led with technology for its own sake. Every tool we recommend, every platform we build on, every strategy we propose starts with a simple question: does this actually solve the problem?

Our process is the same whether a client comes to us with a $5,000 website project or a $500,000 enterprise application:

1. We hear you out.

Not a 20-minute intake form. A real conversation. We want to understand your business, your customers, your competitive environment, and where the pain is. We’ve found that the stated problem is often not the real problem — and you only discover that by listening long enough.

2. We identify the real bottleneck.

Most technology problems are actually process problems, or people problems, or clarity problems. We’re not going to sell you a new website if a new website isn’t what you need. We’ll tell you what we actually see, even if it’s not what you wanted to hear.

3. We build a strategy that fits your reality.

Not your aspirations, your reality. Your budget, your timeline, your team’s actual capacity. Cost-effective doesn’t mean cheap — it means every dollar is working toward an outcome you can measure.

4. We bring it to market.

We build, we launch, we optimize, and we stay. Most of our clients have been with us for years. That’s not accidental — it’s because we design for the long relationship, not the one-time project.

33-YEAR MILESTONE — JULY 2026

Built in 1993. Still building.

We started 305 Spin the same year the first web browser went public. We’ve watched entire categories of technology rise and fall — and rise again in different forms. Flash. Banner ads. Google PageRank. Social media. Mobile-first. And now, AI.

We don’t chase trends. We evaluate them. We ask: what does this actually mean for the businesses we work with? Where is it real, and where is it noise? That discipline is what 33 years looks like in practice.

This July, we’re celebrating that. Not with a party — with a renewed commitment to what got us here. Listening harder. Building smarter. Delivering on what we promise.

“305 Spin built and currently hosts our Convention & Visitors Bureau website. John Moore runs an extremely talented team. They are up to date with all the latest technology and have a passion for building websites.”

— Carolyn Crooker, Executive Director, Sedalia Convention & Visitors Center

THE TEAM

The people behind the work.

305 Spin is not a faceless agency. It’s a team with people who have worked together for decades and who take every project personally.

John Moore — Founder & Principal

John has been building digital solutions since before most of our clients had email addresses. He leads client strategy, technology roadmapping, and business development. In practice, that means he’s usually the one on the first call — listening to what’s going on, figuring out where 305 Spin can genuinely help, and making sure the project stays anchored to real business outcomes throughout.

John also leads 305 Spin’s Fractional CTO practice, working with growing businesses that need senior technology leadership without the full-time executive commitment. It’s work he’s been doing informally for years — we’ve simply given it a proper name.

Kevin — Applications Lead

As both a Project Manager and Developer at 305 Spin, I enjoy working closely with clients to understand what they’re trying to accomplish, and then turning their vision into solutions that make a real impact for both the client and their users.

I pride myself on bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution, as well as bringing experience, insight, and fresh ideas to the process. I take the time to understand a client’s unique needs and goals, translate those into clear technical requirements, and then work with our team to build solutions that not only meet our clients’ business objectives but also create an intuitive and engaging experience for the people who use it every day.

While I spend much of my time managing projects and keeping teams aligned, I also enjoy rolling up my sleeves and contributing as a developer. My experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, and SQL allows me to understand projects from both a strategic and technical perspective — helping me anticipate challenges, communicate effectively with developers, and make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

What I enjoy most about working at 305 Spin is building lasting relationships with our clients. Every project is an opportunity to learn about a new business, tackle a new challenge, and ultimately build a reliable, scalable solution that helps our client grow. Seeing a client’s vision become reality, knowing we’ve helped them better serve their customers, is what motivates me every day.

Doug — Applications Developer

I’ve been developing software for more than 31 years, and I still enjoy the challenge of turning complex problems into simple, effective solutions. As a Full-Stack Developer at 305 Spin, I primarily work with C# and Angular, but my experience spans HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and many other programming languages and technologies I’ve worked with throughout my career.

I enjoy every part of the development process — from designing efficient backend systems to creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. I’m always looking for ways to write clean, maintainable code that performs well and makes life easier for the people using it. For me, great software isn’t just about solving a technical problem; it’s about creating tools that feel natural, help people work more efficiently, and make their day a little easier.

One of the things I enjoy most is working closely with clients to understand what they’re trying to accomplish. Every business is different, and I believe the best solutions come from listening first, asking the right questions, and building software that fits the way people actually work — not the other way around.

Technology has changed dramatically over the past three decades, but one thing has stayed the same: my commitment to continuous learning and delivering quality work. At 305 Spin, I enjoy helping our clients turn ideas into reliable, scalable software that supports their business today and grows with them into the future.

MORE CLIENT VOICES

What 33 years of relationships sounds like.

“We hired 305 Spin to build our Mobility Marketplace at Granite and could not have been happier with the results. John’s team is a breeze to work with and drives a high quality output at very reasonable prices. The result was an industry leading e-commerce platform integrated with our supply chain management system to provide real time inventory management, checkout and shipping, all customizable in a multi-tenant environment. 305’s ongoing support is excellent. I would not hesitate to hire them for future projects.”

— Dan McDuffie, former General Manager Wireless at Granite Telecommunications

“These are super smart, super intelligent tech guys… The consult was very simple and the guys spoke with us in a language we understood. Within a week or so, we had a mockup sent which we loved and our site developed from there. The hit we got was instant and hard — our traffic, lead counts and credit apps didn’t break records, they smashed them.”

— General Manager, Friendly Powersports
