INSIDE. THE TEAM
John Moore
Evangelist
"You have to love life, to live life…live life to love life" or at least that is how I remember Thornton Wilder's line from "Our Town" 25 years ago as a sound guy at a small liberal arts college. A stint in NYC getting a master's in non profit administration then working booking national tours of Broadway shows and house managing at a Broadway Theater still couldn't get the geek out of me. It has always been a left brain - right brain crash collision march. Fortunately for me, I found my way back to the cradle of ragtime and Lori fuels my passion - futbol, skiing, art, music, outdoors, wine and two great kids - Riley and Maelin. Wow - kids after 40 - totally awesome. I'm loving it and I'm living it. I'm living it and I'm loving it.
Favorite Movies: Anything by Akira Kurosawa - Shichinin no samurai (Seven Samurai), Ikuru, Akahige (Red Beard), Ran and Kakushi-toride no san-akunin (The Hidden Fortress) are some of my favorites but too hard to choose.
Favorite Actors: Bill Murray, Toshiro Mifune, Takashi Shimura
Favorite Dining: Great Sushi (even with the kids), El Tapatio, the best Mexican Restaurant in the US
Favorite Kids Moment: every time I see them - especially when getting back from being out of town.
Favorite English Futbol Team: Newcastle United
Favorite Vacation: Going Camping or Skiing is always the best, but taking Riley to the World Cup in Germany in 2006 was pretty awesome.
Biggest Leap of Faith: The last chute on Tucker Mountain.

Well, my dad is Russian, my mom is Ukrainian, my girlfriend is from Nepal, but the last 5 years of my life I've spent in the United States. I guess that makes me a citizen of the new, "flattened" world. I love observing the changes technology is bringing to the global economy and enjoy being one of the "construction workers" of the new, efficient, borderless, digital life.
Professionally, challenge is what motivates me. Figuring out how to do things that "cannot be done" or "have never been done before" is what I thrive on. Having done this more than once, I've come to a conclusion that nothing is beyond reach.
Favorite music: Anything repetitive with a kick drum, bassline, and snare
Currently reading: "The Economist" magazine, "Foreign Policy" magazine
Time well spent: biking down a country road; taking a walk in the park; swimming 30 laps in the pool; at home, watching latest DVD in a good company
Home country: Ukraine

I have lived in central Missouri essentially my whole life, which has fueled my spastic behavior with "nothing to do". You will never see me without a Mountain Dew within arm's reach. And when I reach the peak of my caffeine induced frenzy, you can find me playing video games, writing songs, or staying up all hours of the night. But the thing that really keeps me on my toes are my two kids (Jillian, 9 and Kaden, 7).
Favorite Movies: Star Wars, Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc. [I like sequels.]
Favorite TV Shows: Family Guy, South Park, Inuyasha, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist
Favorite Meal: McDonald's (2 Double Quarter-Pounders and a large fry) or El Tapatio Restaurant (el número dieciséis con tres destrozó enchiladas de la carne de vaca sin el arroz o las habas)
Favorite 305 Spin Website: Alligator (visually), but for complexity of mechanics it is MyMinutes.com. I put my heart and soul into it…not to mention a lung, a kidney, etc. I felt like Dr. Frankenstein…..IT'S ALIVE!!!

Born and raised a Midwest boy, I have always loved the lifestyle of America's breadbasket. I went West to finish my education at the University of Arizona (go Cats) and still miss the grand landscapes and endless opportunities for outdoor fun that the Wild West affords, but I couldn't stay away from "home" for long. When I'm not engaged in a staring contest with my computer screen you can find me playing a game of pick-up basketball or, if I'm lucky, roaming around the Upper Buffalo River near Ponca, Arkansas, looking for a rock to throw, bluff to climb, or the perfect photo-op. My career travels have taken me from tech support at the University Medical center in Tucson, AZ, to rangeboy in Springfield, MO, to high school teacher in Moscow, Russia, to web developer at Coldwell Banker Arizona, and finally to my favorite stop yet at 305 Spin.

I would like to think of myself as a friendly person and one that loves to work as a member of a team. I love doing what I do, which happens to be designing websites. It is important to be open-minded and "up with the times", so I am always striving for fresh ideas and I keep my eyes open for great inspiration.
What helps me to think more creatively?
Observing what is around me, surfing the web for some awesome design ideas, good ol' fashion sketching, the style network channel and listening to my favorite music
What three movies would you want on a deserted island?
The Goonies, The Godfather and Christmas Vacation
What is the best advice you have ever recieved?
To be a good listener and to be patient.
What other career path might you have chosen instead of graphic design?
I always thought it you be cool to be fashion designer, but I cannot sew for anything! So, I guess I knew it was not my calling back when I took clothing construction in high school. What a disaster!

Having an extensive printing background, I came to 305 Spin to be more creative with printing. Soon after, the internet took off, so the primary focus of 305 became internet publishing and hosting. I still handle the print side of 305 Spin, but am very proud of the staff for coming up with bright and refreshing new ideas and functions they all handle so well. I work part-time, the other part is spent taking care of Riley and Maelin, which is equally important to both John and I.
What is your proudest moment at 305 Spin?
Everytime I watch John go into "hyper drive"!
What other career path might you have chosen instead of graphic design?
Theatre - I loved acting in High School!
What's the best advice you've ever received?
Learn to forgive - love unconditionally.
Describe your favorite meal?
Everything made in the last ten years for my Christmas Eve Birthday Dinner, plus the excellent wine selection!
What was the greatest day of your life?
I always have great days - and they always include my children - who wouldn't have great days with kids like mine!
What would you do if you had one day to do anything you want?
Spend the day visiting wineries, pack a picnic, watch the kids play soccer on the lawn without having to get up and chase anyone - and of course have an evening date with my husband at a fabulous Japanese restaurant without the children!
Name three people, dead or alive, that you would want to meet.
JR Tolkien, Akira Kurosawa, Katharine Hepburn
Favorite Sports Team?
305 Spin Recreational Soccer Team!
What is on your TiVo?
Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, Footballer's Wives and Avatar: The Last AirBender (I didn't say they were all mine!)
